The hinge gets printed twice. Once normal and once mirrored. Both of them get placed opposite onto a frame. I mounted them to a metal frame. It is a square tube with inside 20 x 20 mm square. It actually once was a living room table and in my garage for quite a while... but hey it works and looks fine. The actual shield and also connector of the two hinges is a 2 mm thick acrylic glass. You can choose any other shield but keep in mind, that it correlates with your frame.
